Lyric Panel — A Pi 5 driven e-ink display that recognizes ambient music and shows synced lyrics.

An idea in progress: a small e-ink panel, framed like a piece of art, that passively listens to a room’s ambient audio, fingerprints whatever song is playing, and displays its lyrics timed to the music. No companion app, no account, no phone in hand — it just knows what’s playing and shows it.

Current state

Still at the concept stage. The open questions are audio fingerprinting latency on a Pi 5 and whether lyric-timing data is reliably available for fingerprint matches without a paid API.
